We made it easy for ourselves: Hello Hungary!

Hello, dear visitor of our site and therefore Hungary emigrant!

My son is in the city center of Keszthely.
My son is in the city center of Keszthely.
Since you found our site, you are informing yourself about your emigration to Hungary.
I was born in Budapest, and my parents immigrated to Germany with me as a baby in 1985.
I grew up in Germany my whole life, went to kindergarten and school there, studied there, lived there, worked there, traveled a lot and felt like home there....until my (German) husband and I had similar thoughts to these, which you may have?!
"What future lies ahead for me? How can I fulfill my potential? How will the German market economy, social life and my financial situation change?"
With the birth of our son in August 2020, many additional important issues concerning our child preoccupied or burdened us during the lockdown period. "In what culture will my child grow up? What educational opportunities will my child have? Will we even find a daycare place? Etc. pp."

We then made an important decision at the beginning of 2022. We bought a house in Hungary and moved before Easter - away from the Bad Vilbel and off to the beautiful Lake Balaton. Initially, the idea was only for a holiday home, but we decided to move completely and start over.
Our son now goes to daycare here in Hungary, my husband is also self-employed and can work remotely, and I am pursuing the realization of our long-lasting self-sufficiency project with a friend. We want to realise the idea of a completely self-sufficient eco-house, including the construction of a permaculture garden, and expand this to the size of a commune in the long term. Our own electricity from wind and sun, our own water from wells and rain, and our own food in the purest organic quality from our own permaculture garden.

Why "Hallo Ungarn"?

Through our emigration, I noticed how many bureaucratic tasks are thrown at you. Without any knowledge of the Hungarian language, it is quite-consuming and exhausting to complete many important administrative tasks. I would like to support other emigrants in this process.
I am very lucky that, despite the fact that I grew up in Germany, I always spoke Hungarian with my parents at home and therefore still speak the language today.
As a sort of “returnee” I immediately found myself in a special position in the hearts of the Hungarians, and it was incredibly easy for me to network in the area at a rapid pace. In every area I placed value on a reliable, competent, honest and sometimes German speaking service providers. Whether it was tradesmen, bankers, chauffeur services accountants and tax consultants, real estate agents, farmers, therapists, gardeners, lawyers, cleaning ladies, hairdressers, insurance agents, etc.
With my network, expertise, and language skills, my partners and I offer you tailored packages that perfectly meet your needs and support you in your emigration.

Who are the people behind it?

Behind "Hallo Ungarn", are primarily me, Diana (Bednar), and my cooperation partner István (Pontyos). The native Hungarian also lived in Germany for many years and has been working on construction projects here at Lake Balaton since 2017. He is available for all real estate and tradesman questions and can also provide German-speaking support to emigrants.
Livía (Cserkúti) also provides support in all administrative matters concerning the Hungarian authorities. As a long-established local networker, she can deal with any concerns in all areas in life in no time at all.
My husband Frank (Michael) provides consulting support for expats who are entrepreneurs, using his expertise as a long-time entrepreneur himself.

Where are we exactly?

The small town is called Gyenesdiás and is located directly on Lake Balaton and next to the larger and more famous towns of Keszthely und Héviz (the town with the huge thermal lake).
